About SynthioLabs

At SynthioLabs, we’re building medical-grade Voice AI for life sciences. Our platform powers secure and compliant real-time conversations across pharma teams with patients. From enabling reps to prep smarter before calls, to helping nurses deliver consistent patient engagement, our AI is transforming how life sciences teams work.

Build with Agency

We move like owners. Everyone at SynthioLabs has the autonomy and the responsibility to drive projects, challenge decisions, and push things forward. We don’t wait for permission. If you see a gap, you fill it. If you see a better way, you try it.

Curious by Default

We ask “why” until we get to the root. We explore new ideas, research papers, every single edge case and anything that sharpens our understanding.

AI with Purpose

Our AI helps patients navigate care, and helps doctors make better decisions. That means obsessing over safety, accuracy, and empathy without compromising on speed or ambition.

AI-Native Thinking

We use AI like a second brain. From writing code to writing docs, debugging flows to exploring new ideas, AI is part of our daily rhythm. Everyone here gets hands-on with the tools, learns how to prompt better, and treats AI as an extension of themselves - a teammate.

The Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at SynthioLabs, you’ll sit at the frontier of real-time voice AI and healthcare. You’ll scope and build systems that combine messy real-world pharma data with cutting-edge LLMs and speech models, deploying into production with our Fortune 20 clients.

This role blends deep AI engineering, rapid prototyping, and hands-on customer engagement - perfect for someone who wants to see their AI applications models move from notebooks to enterprise scale in weeks.

You’ll work closely with the founders to scope, design, and deploy new modules of our platform. The role blends product sense, technical problem-solving, and hands-on deployments.

What You’ll Do

  • Train, fine-tune, and evaluate LLM and voice models for healthcare use cases.
  • Partner with pharma stakeholders to map their current workflows, uncover problems, and design and build AI solutions that fit enterprise compliance requirements.
  • Translate messy, multi-layered data into structured pipelines for AI models.
  • Build, test, and deploy AI voice and chat agents using our Polaris platform—owning projects end-to-end from proof-of-concept to scale.
  • Act as a trusted technical partner in customer meetings - explaining our AI architecture and guardrails.
  • Build monitoring and evaluation frameworks for our AI applications and prototype new model capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong technical background (CS and AI)
  • Great communication - comfortable working directly with customer stakeholders in ambiguous, enterprise environments.
  • Interest in healthcare and life sciences—bonus for prior work in pharma
  • Startup mindset: bias for action, ownership, and willingness to get hands dirty across product, engineering, and customer work.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Agentic AI, voice AI, NLP and infra (AWS ideally).
  • Familiarity with pharma platforms (Veeva, Salesforce).
  • Prior consulting, deployment engineering, or solutions architect experience.

Why SynthioLabs

  • Work on some of the hardest problems in voice AI and life sciences.
  • Small team, high impact -  work directly with the founders and your deployments will define how top pharma companies engage HCPs and patients.
  • Highly competitive compensation with benefits and equity compensation (stock).
  • Backed by Y Combinator and top-tier VCs - multiple partnerships already live with Fortune 50 pharma enterprise clients.
  • Culture of trust, autonomy, and curiosity - we value people who think first principles, challenge assumptions, and care about building the right solutions.
